Childs Farm Body Wash and Travel Kit Review

We kindly got sent Childs Farm products to try out recently. I’ve bought them before but the Boots branch nearest my work hasn’t had them for a while so I was delighted to get my hands on some more.

Both my kids have quite dry and sensitive skin, so for the most part I just wash them as little possible. But between the accidents, the messy play, and the weekly swimming lessons, they still get a good going over a couple of times a week . I try and avoid hyper coloured character laden bottles in the supermarket so if I had any criticism of Childs Farm it would be; I’d love to see it more widely available.

Childs FarmWe tried out the Blackberry & Organic Apple Hair & Body Wash first; I swear I kept finding the six year old just standing in the bathroom inhaling the scent. It’s so perfectly seasonal and he thought it was really funny that he was washing himself with “apple crumble”!

We also have the Top to Toesie Cleaning Kit, which contains three generous citrus scented travel size bottles; a moisturiser, hair & body wash, and bubble bath. Unfortunately for me, the child that could actually do with some moisturiser is the most stubborn oppositional one, so I have to sneak it on him when he’s asleep. It’s got a gentle grapefruit scent, but is mild on your skin. The closest thing I have to a craving in this pregnancy is actually for grapefuit so I have slathered quite a bit on my bump when it’s been a bit itchy. Ok! I admit it, I’ve used the tangerine bubble bath myself too!

These sizes have been really handy for chucking in the swimming gear bag. I would say that 100ml of bubble bath is not much use to anyone where as you actually get a lot of uses out of the moisturiser and hair & body wash; so I’d prefer a kit with the 3 in 1 Swim product in it (which I’ve purchased before)

All Childs Farm products are “Dermatologically tested and paediatrician approved, it is mild, kind and safe to use on newborns and upwards — even those with sensitive or eczema-prone skin”. Their Christmas gift kits for stocking fillers or festive travelling are available now.

Disclosure: I was kindly sent these products from Childs Farm. All opinions are my own, or that of my children.

  1. Great to find new children’s products. I agree with you about the bubble bath. I’d have no use for that. What price point are they Jill.

    1. Full size bottles are €5.99 in boots, but I’ve gotten them in a 3 for 2 there too. They stretch really far though, so well worth it.

      The kits start around €11.
